Appointments System

Patients can book a telephone appointment with the doctor or nurse of their choice by telephoning reception during opening hours.

All consultations with the GP will be via telephone and/or video consultation in the first instance. The GP will decide if you need to be seen F2F.

Some routine nurses appointments will be via telephone only but depending on the problem you will need a face to face appointment.

Not every clinician is available every day.  If the clinician of your choice is not available you will be offered the earliest possible alternative.

Home Visits (suspended at present)

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

If you require an interpreter for your appointment with the doctor or nurse please advise the receptionist when booking your appointment. This service is provided by telephone and is subject to availability.
