FREE cancer screening is available to all people who are registered wtih an NHS GP.

Cancer screening aims to find cancer before you may have developed symptoms. We know that the earlier cancer is found, the more successful treamtment may be. 

If you or someone you know is concerned about any aspect of cancer screening, or if you have a new symptoms that you are unsure or worried about, please contact your GP Practice. 

Cervical Screening

Who : All women and people with a cervix aged 25-64 

25-49 - every 3 years

50-64 - every 5 years 

Receive invitation by letter 

Breast Screening

Who: All women aged 50-71 

50-71 - every 3 years

Receive invitation by letter 

Bowel  Screening 

Who: everyone aged 56-74

Receive bowel screening test pot in the post every 2 years
